Re-Refined oil isn’t a new thing, however recently an independent test facility performed a real world one million mile test on the re-refined oil product Eco-Power Marketed by Safety-Kleen. Overall the results showed that compared to two leading brands, the oil maintained it’s viscosity better and performed comparably in engine materials protection. It’s good to know that there is re-refined oil that is being used in more fleets. I think it’s good when more companies try to go green, especially in the automotive industry. I can see why a company might want to do this in order to cut back on costs and help the earth.
